  Olive Oil

 

 

It is important botanical oil that is obtained by mechanical ways from the ripe products of the olive tree (olea europa L) and that turns to liquid in room temperature, has the colors ranging from clear green to yellow, and taste and aroma of its own that can be consumed naturally.

Natural Extra-Virgin Olive Oil: Oils that have no more than 1.0 gram of free oleic acids per 100 grams.

Natural First Olive Oil: Oils that have no more than 2.0 grams of free oleic acids per 100 grams.

Natural Second Olive Oil: Oils that have no more than 3.3 grams of free oleic acids per 100 grams.

Refined Olive Oil: Oil that has a taste and aroma of its own and color which is the various tones of yellow obtained as the result of refining by methods that doesn’t lead to changes in natural triacylglyceride structure of unrefined olive. Its free oleic acids should not be more than 0.3 gram per 100 grams.

Pure Olive Oil: Oil that has a taste and aroma of its own and color that changes from green to yellow formed by mixture of natural olive oils that can be consumed directly as nutrition with refined olive oil. Its free oleic acids should not be more than 1.5 grams per 100 grams.

Seasoned Olive Oil: Oils obtained by diversifying the olive oils by adding different spices, fruits and vegetables or natural aroma substances of those mentioned above.
